A varied program of fashion courses covering all aspects of fashion design, garment assembly, fashion illustration, sketching, figure movement and rendering provide a comprehensive education for those wishing to embrace a career in the fashion industry.
The Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design and Technology covers occupations such as assistant designers and pattern makers who work with and support other fashion industry personnel. It provides a basis for career progression to higher skills in these areas at the Diploma level. Completion of the Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design and Technology also provides entry into the Diploma in Applied Fashion Design and Technology.
Course Duration: Full time for 3 semesters (63 weeks)
The Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology covers occupations such as entry level fashion designers and advanced pattern makers. Completion of the Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology also provides entry into Advanced Diploma in Applied Fashion Design and Technology.
This courses will increase your awareness of the complementary and integrated roles of design, pattern making, construction and associated technologies. The courses encourages you to develop, investigative and create skills related to the current and future directions of the fashion industry.
Course Duration: Full time for 1 semester (21 weeks)
For those with competence in LMT41006 Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design and Technology
The Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology is designed to provide high level skills in fashion design specialist pattern making managing design and product development processes and managing fashion design systems. This course provides you with the opportunity to enhance skills in fashion design, marketing and global operations. Students will develop communication skills and knowledge to prepare them to liaise with all industry stake holders, from designers through to manufacturers and marketers.
Course Duration: Full time for 9 months (33 weeks)
